Blog World
It's official. At the prompting of my sister, I am now caught up with the current generation of bloggers. Well, maybe not caught up. I'm a wannabe. My husband thinks that blogging is indicative of the narcissistic age in which we live. However, I have a personal motivation for doing so. Mainly to work on the discipline of putting my thoughts and opinions (of which I have many) down in writing. I am an extremely extroverted, task oriented person (SECL according to THIS PERSONALITY TEST) and blogging will force me to be a bit more introspective. It's 1:25am on a Thursday night (our equivalent to most people's Friday nights since Friday is Cole's "day off"). I just called Cole on his cell, and he and Adele should be pulling up in our driveway any minute now. They went to St. Joseph to watch the new Batman movie. We won two free movie tickets and since Cole has been trying to do something with each of our five children (well-- except baby Julianna) on an individual basis, tonight was Adele's night. In February, Truman got to travel with dad to Minneapolis to the Bethlehem Baptist Pastor's Conference sponsored by John Piper. Tomorrow, Ava and Ty will accompany dad to World's of Fun in honor of Ava's 7th birthday. Frankly, I'm wondering when I get my special time with dad. :) Just kidding. We did get dinner and a movie for Cole's 38th birthday a few weeks ago. It's just that after 14 years of marriage and five kids, I think I'm ready for a 2nd honeymoon. Perhaps I hear New England calling my name?? (Cole, if you're reading this...)
