Books Sitting on my Nightstand
And One More Thing Before You Go by Maria Schriver The Last Promise by Richard Paul Evans The South Beach Diet by Arthur Agatson Spiritual Authority by Watchman Nee Shepherding a Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp Schriver's book is a very short book-- I actually read it in just under 30 minutes. Just a little piece full of common sense and pithy quotes. Wish I was a famous journalist. Think I could make a lot of money writing books... Just started The Last Promise. It takes me a while to plow through fiction because I only allow this treat at night, and as most of you know, if I sit down for more than about 15 minutes it's off to slumberland. The South Beach Diet was recommended by our friend, Mike Hebert, who is a physician's assistant. He suggested a diet change for Cole after hearing about his struggles with high blood pressure and high cholestorol. This will be a big change in the way I cook. I haven't committed yet. Cole requested that I read Spiritual Authority. So I am. We plan on discussing it together after I complete given assignment. Shepherding a Child's Heart is the book that I teaching to a group of mothers in our church every 3rd Monday of each month. It's a good book, if a little weak on application. I'm actually supplementing this study with about 4 other books on parenting, but I'll list those later.
