Free Duds for Your Man
Operation Clean Sweep has currently be in progress for 5 hours. I have taken six huge sacks of stuff to the local charity store, 2 huge bags of stuff to the consignment store, and returned a trunk load of borrowed camping gear to our good friends the Corwins who loaned the stuff to us SIX MONTHS AGO (*blushing*.) I have several more piles of other things to return to people and LOADS more clothes to go through. I am nowhere near ready to post pictures--but I'm making progress. Whew! In all of this cleaning out, I have found 2 MENS SUITS that I want to give away FOR FREE. I was going to try to sell them in the Garage-Sale-That-Wasn't, but now I'm just ready to GET RID OF THEM! I could try to consign them, but I just hate to. I'd rather give them to someone who could really use them. I don't feel like taking pictures of these suits right now because I want to get back to my garage. However, I might try to post photos tonight. They are both very nice suits that once sold in the $300 - $400 range. (Of course, *I* never pay full price!! Thank goodness for Dillard's annual suit sale!) One is a dark brown Hart Shafner and Marx and the other is an army green Austin Reed. They will fit a man who is about 5'11" and weighs about 185 lbs. My husband is 5'11". However he no longer, ahem, weighs 185 lbs. All of this can be yours for the price it will cost to ship them to your house. (Unless you live nearby and don't need me to mail them to you.) You might have to pay to have someone alter them a bit, but I think it would definitely be worth it. Email me if you're interested. First come, first served

I am soo proud of you!! That is great progress! I know you will continue to feel better as you go! About the suits we would be very interested but my hubby is 6' and I'm afraid it would be to short. Do you know the length? I know you are busy now but when you have a chance

Interested... Think they will fit Craig? And you could just hold them until we see you next...

Hey Megan-

I actually thought of Craig, but wasn't sure if he wore suits??

He would probably have to have them taken in some. I'll just hold on to them for you until I see you this summer.

He wears them for preaching class. ;) And special occasions. If we end up taking a pastorate afterall (and it is now on the books as a possibility...) then he'll probably need some. You think?

I know a gal who can give him a sweet deal on alterations too.

However, if someone emails you and it seems like the perfect fit, don't worry about us! Share the love.

Megan-

Great! Glad you want them. I should have just emailed you first.

They're yours until you try them out and say you don't want them.

HJ-

I am a speed reader and I am *blushing hard* right now. I only read your comment to "My hubby is 6' and I'm afraid it would be too short."

It wasn't until I read "Okaaay" that I went back and read "Do you know the length." So-- to stay true to my word, (first come, first served) I will defintely measure the suits for you and let you know. :)

Megan-- stay tuned.

I totally understand, I do stuff like that as well. I just thought it was a little strange that I didn't seem to be acknowledged. Thanks for clearing it up for me! Don't worry about the measurements, give them to your sister and brother in law. :)

Whoops - I just skimmed that comment too. SO SORRY! Give the suits to them! Do it! Do it!
