And the Winner Is...
Well, my little contest didn't exactly net the results I wanted-- which was, namely, COMMENTS!!! I set up a little counter on Friday to see how many hits my site was getting, and I figured out that I got 95 visitors and 270 hits just since Friday evening when I set the counter up. But only 7 comments. My readers are not very verbose?? Oh well-- I did pull a few of you out of the woodwork. :) SuperMom came in dead last with 7 correct guesses. But I am sure that is because she doesn't want to waste any of her super powers on a silly little game like this one. She needs to save her powers for her SuperKids... Literature Lover did well with 10 correct guesses. And I just want to say for the record, girl, that A Knight's Tale is one of my all time most hated movies. That movie just couldn't decide if it wanted to be serious or funny. I left Cole in the theater by himself on that one and went down to the Big Lots down the street until it was over!! :) My friend Aimee, from down South, was the only one to guess #12 correctly which was The Patriot- so kudos to her!! And Megan didn't really play either but wants recognition for introducing our family to Napoleon Dynomite. So, THANKS MEGAN...I think. Tammy is a new person to my site and came in 2nd with 14 correct guesses. She has a really nice blog site and I was humbled and inspired by her writings of their family's journey with a son with cancer. Thanks for coming to my site and LEAVING A COMMENT, Tammy! #7 and #18 were missed by everyone and came from a great little movie called The Family Man. Also- I have never actually seen The Terminator, but I picked that line up somewhere and say it just like Arnold. All of the time. "Ahll bee bock." And last but not least... (drum roll please)... THE WINNER IS: EMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Emily, a good friend of mine, is an amazing, witty, smart, beautiful and very talented person who has persevered through undergraduate work (graduated from SBU- for all of you SBU gals) and is now working on a Master of Divinity degree despite ADD and other learning disabilities. She has a heart for children and a heart for Africa and her ultimate goal is to end up on the mission field some day. She also happens to be very good at figuring out movie lines with a total of 26 correct guesses. So, Emily wins the VERY ILLUSTRIOUS AND COVETED PRIZE of getting her name mentioned at the top of my blog. Congratulations Em!! ANSWER KEY 1. Sweet Home Alabama 2. Sleepless in Seattle 3.
