Can I Have Your Autograph??
Shannon, from Rocks in My Dryer and Chilihead from Don't Try This at Home, both live in my parent's hometown. So, my sister Megan arranged for us to meet them in person while we were down here for my parent's anniversary celebration. It was so much fun! Going into it, I felt like I was Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail, waiting for her blind date with a rose on the table. (Shannon had emailed ahead to say that we'd meet at Panera Bread and that she'd be wearing a green shirt and glasses.) I told Shannon I felt like I was meeting a celebrity! Afterall, I get only get about 100 hits a day and she gets a bazillion!! She sheepishly shrugged my compliment off and said some very sweet things about something I had written in a recent post. What a gracious lady! Chilihead's dry sense of humor comes through loud and clear even in person and I cracked up when she pulled out the nose and glasses. She is such a beautiful gal, but I guess YOU'LL never know... :) No autographs today, but I did get a picture!!!! Thanks ladies for a very nice time.

I just found your blog through Everyday Mommy. She says we sorta live in the same neck of the woods.

Small world.

I'm definitely adding you to my bloglines. Any woman who can come up with your WFM trash can idea, has GOT to be worth reading regularly! :)

How fun! What is it about this blogiverse that brings people together in such a powerful way? Wish we could all have a huge gathering and experience what you gals got to share! Hope your parents' anniversary celebration was everything you hoped for.
