When I Grow Up...
This afternoon, Ty and I had to run a few errands together. I had 3 boxes of clothes to drop off at the consignment store and then we headed to the Dollar Store. I love the Dollar Store. Everything's so CHEAP. But it kind of dirty and crowded and disorganized. As we hopped back in the van, we had the following conversation.
Ty: "I do NOT want to work at the Dollar Store when I grow up."
Me: "Really? How come?"
Ty: "The workers there don't make much money."
Me: "That's true. Smart thinking. So, where do you want to work when you grow up?"
Ty: "Wal-Mart."
Lately, Titus seems a bit preoccupied with his future occupation. A few days ago, on our way to piano lessons, we had a similar conversation to the one above.
Ty: "Mom, you know what I want to be when I grow up?"
Me: "No son, tell me."
Ty: "Well, I know I don't want to be FAMOUS. That can really cause trouble."
Me: "That's true. Wise of you to realize that."
Ty: "But I do know that I want to be something IMPORTANT. Something that helps the world."
(Oh, bless his heart, he's getting ready to tell me he wants to be a preacher like his daddy...)
Me: "So... like what?"
Ty: "An NBA basketball player."

Laughing. This blog is so cute and funny! My son has made the same claim, wanting to be a cashier. They are so cute. Oh yes, I also made the NBA basketball claim to my Mom when I was around 5-6th grade. She is still laughing about that one.
How precious! This gave me a good laugh.
