The Snow is Like a Quilt
"I love winter. The snow is like a quilt and the earth has gone to sleep." That's what my husband said to me in the car this morning as we were headed out of town for Julianna's 1 year immunizations. The sky was gray and snow was coming down everywhere. I just love my husband! He's everything I'm not. Every year on valentine's day, he writes a poem for me and every year on valentine's I search frantically for a cool poem to write in his card. Last year I bought him this. It's still snowing and I love winter too. But I would have never expressed it quite so nicely. :)

Some. (Mostly for me. I know-- "Awwwww..." Anyway, guess he takes after his Grandaddy Colay. Did you ever see his book of published poems, Valley of Vision? It was only privately published, but each of the grandchildren own a signed copy...
