I love you, Honey
Whyyyyy is Mike hanging from a string in a my garage? Well, in case you didn't know it, my husband thinks that I need Mike's help. He says that I sometimes park too close to the freezer in the front of the garage. At other times he says that I don't pull in far enough. I don't know, I guess it's a fair assessment. I'm a little rough on cars. There was the time a couple of years ago when I backed into the huge pine tree in our front yard. Or the other time when I backed over the wire cables lining the circular drive up at the elementary school parking lot and subsequently cracked the back bumper of our van in half. Speaking of the elementary school parking lot, I also one time backed into someone's brand-new sporty, little, blue Kia. That was a really nice car. Until I hit it. The back of our van used to look really nice too, until I left the trunk lid open and then tried to close the garage door, thus allowing the metal parts of the garage door opener to scrape the paint off. Twice.
I tried to tell our insurance man that it's really not that big of a deal to fall off the side of the road and get stuck in a ditch because you were trying to look into the rear-view mirror to apply lip-stick. Or is it? I was going to church when I did it--that has to count for something.
Oh yeah, and then there was the time when I backed into a car that was parked behind me in my dentist's parking lot. I think that happened yesterday. I'm not sure, but I also think that Spencer doesn't know about this yet. At least I haven't told him.

Yes, distractions can be hard on cars. But I think if I saw Mike every time I pulled into my garage, he would make me smile. I painted nail polish on the wall of the garage for myself so I wouldn't have a problem!
Or how about that time you were backing out of your driveway while your dad was pulling in and you forced him to swerve to the side and still managed to sideswipe him?
Laughing...
I have one of those too! Hubby put up a nerf airplane for me. Sounds like we have the same kind of car troubles.
I backed into our neighbors car and he never parked behind our driveway again. If he was pulling out of his driveway and saw me turning onto our street, he would wait until I was parked in the garage before taking off. :{
Oh brother--
this parking challenged drivers anonymous session is blowing my mind...and dear, I cannot wait until you get home so I can see the damage...what did you break? Actually, I'll admit that I recently broke a tail-light when I backed into a mailbox..."we suffer so that we may learn compassion."

LOL!!! What a crack up...when I saw Mike's picture hanging there I 'bout fell out of my chair laughing....that is hysterical. Well...I can identify a bit...I'm always so embarrassed when I park the suburban at school every morning...I have to back up and realign the thing no less than three times....no...we're not talking parallel parking here...it is your regular normal straight job..yah...uh huh...3 big tries to get it straight. I'm such a dork...
OMIGOSH!!! Good Lord, girl! I was out garage sale-ing in our huge full size van (which I hated to drive) and was parked on the side of the road. I went to leave and backed into a car parked behind me because the van was so tall and the car was so small I couldn't see it. Oopsie!
LOL!! Mike is too cute! Bless your heart...a few accidents but I must admits that made me laugh today! :) So maybe that's why? To encourage others? Heehee. BTW, hubby sure was understanding.
Michelle, You KNOW how much I love Mike (your Dad) I guess "car stories" runs in our family. Remember when you and Spencer were dating, and came home for the weekend? You all left for church early and took your car. I forgot that Spencer's car was parked in our driveway and I side-swiped it all the way down the driver's side.
Then I was scared to tell you all about this so I waited until we went to lunch after church. You could tell something was wrong. Your dad was out of town on business and you thought we were having marriage troubles. (That the Lord that wasn't the case at all.) Then on the way home from lunch, wind tore off the vinal roof of my car roof. What a day that was! When your dad called home that night, I sure had a story to tell him. HA!
