At the Bottom of the Bag
Orange juice, mustard and bread. These were the three things I asked my husband to pick up at the store on the way home from his office last night. When he walked in, he laid the bag on the counter and I forgot about it until later. As I pilfered through the bag after supper, I found a couple of other items that he had purchased on his own. Salad mix. Oh--he wanted a salad with supper. Well, I'll fix it tomorrow night, bless his heart. Bag empty--I crumpled it up to toss it into the trash. But wait, there's something else at the bottom of the bag. What is that? A 5-pack of Doublemint gum. The kind that comes in the chartreuse green wrapper. My favorite--a secret treat just for me. Have I ever mentioned how much I love my husband??? He's just my very best friend.

How sweet, it is those little things that mean the most, I think!

That is so cute! Like Angie said, it is the little things, just knowing that they remember you. Those are the sweetest things.
