Works For Me On a Trip
Still on vacation with some good friends of ours from Camden. (Well, now they live in Baton Rouge...) We're having a GREAT time which is why you're not hearing much from me lately, here at This One's for the Girls. (Having NINE children running around this place might have something to do with that as well, I don't know...) Here are some traveling tips that have really worked for me this week. We're staying in a vacation home with a kitchen, so we stocked it with groceries on Monday and we've been eating all of our meals here in order to save money. One thing I did ahead that saved a lot of time and hassle was to grill a ton of hamburgers back at home and bring them on our vacation ALREADY GRILLED. That saved a lot of mess and hassle. Another thing I did for this vacation was to label every suitcase with a piece of duct tape and a Sharpie marker. This trip consisted of four different houses/hotels, etc. I was able to label bags that that said things such as: "This bag does not need to be unloaded until we get to Branson-- wedding clothes ONLY." Another bag says: "Swimming gear, sunvisors, walkie talkies." This was really nice for my husband since he's the one who loads and unloads our 19,000 suitcases at each stop. As always, go to Shannon's for a plethora of awesome tips. :)

Glad to hear it too. Enjoy Silver Dollar City on our behalf since we weren't able to go!

Love the idea of the make-ahead burgers. We are doing a cabin vacation in July and I'm already thinking how I can get ahead of the game. Thanks for the tip!
