Today on Homespun Heart, Monica shares an idea about paying your bills through auto-pay using a 5% cash back Discover card. Since they are dedicated to paying their credit card off monthly, they can actually make money using their credit card! I'm going to have to run this one by my husband...

Hey, glad to see you are enjoying my real-life friend, Monica! Though it is a bit weird to see people I know in completely different contexts come together in blog-world...

I know what you mean-- it was weird to see you posting on Heartsjoy that one time. :)

We do this too! We just never carry a balance so it ends up making us a little bit of money plus saves the time and a few stamps when I pay bills (which is the biggest plus for me).

Hmmm, I'll have to run this by Hubby. Sounds like a great idea.

Hi! Glad you liked the idea! Hope it works out as well for you as it does for us! You can receive your bonus in cash or you can choose to double it in some cases by choosing gift cards from participating stores. I cashed in $20 of our bonus one time for a $25 gift card to the Gap and got some neat pj's on clearance for my sister with shipping for only a few dollars extra. Or you could just give the gift card - either way the entire gift is FREE! :) Let me know how it works out.
