A Father's Day Card from our son
Truett, my almost 13 year old son, went on a very long road trip to Colorado with my sister and her four very small girls. (Ages 7, 5, 4 and 2.) In exchange for his helpfulness on the trip--he gets to attend a week at Eagle Lake! Since he couldn't be here to wish his father a Happy Father's Day in person, he created a homemade video using Windows Media Player. I tried and tried to download it for you, but I'm doing something wrong. I typed out the text--but rest assured that it's just not the same without the Hawaii Five-O music playing in the background and the words scrolling off the of age in Star Wars fashion. :)
We are so thankful for our boy. Our house just seems empty without him! Here's the video card message:
What the Word "Dad" means to me
From Truett to Dad
You are the Head of the House...
You are the Source of my Comfort...
You are the Friend of Friends...
You Guide me to Make the Right Decisions...
But...
But...
But...
They all mean the same thing...
You are my Dad!
Father's Day
Episode 12
Son's in Colorado
Happy Father's Day Dad!
I Hope you have a special day because it's your special day.
I wish that I was right there with you
But at least I can still say...
Happy Father's Day!
I Love You Dad!
From Truett

Soooo sweeet.....children are just such a blessing....gifts that keep on giving....
What a precious son! :)
What a creative little guy he is! How precious that he would think all that through. That's a great tribute to Spencer.
You are doing something really right with that one. Can we arrange a marriage? I have a least two, if not three or four eligible daughters...
Katherine-
I've been telling my kids for years that I'm all about arranged marriages!! ;) They just groan...
What a sweet message! I will bet your hubby just loved it!
Oh my gosh, that is precious. What a sweet boy!
Hey, Michelle. I saw your question over at Shalee's and realized that you might not know about YouTube. For some reason I just thought you were having blogger issues. youtube.com is just like flickr, but for videos. You upload your video and then they will give you the html code to stick into your blog. Let me know if you have any questions.
When I first read this entry the other day, I thought it was the COOLEST idea. My husband is a Star Wars NUT! He would have thought this was the best gift of all time. :-)
