Cleanliness IS Next To Godliness...
Titus was asked this essay question on one of his reading papers re: the Nursery Rhyme, Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater: Would you rather live in a shoe or a pumpkin shell? Why? His answer: I would rather live in a shoe because a pumpkin is sticky and the shoe has not necessarily been used yet. Although I'm not sure in real life which one I would choose because of size issues. For all of my friends who tease me about being a germ-o-phobic, I just want to point out here that Titus immediately thought of the hygeine issue. See there, I am having a positive influence on my children. :)

Hey, Michelle! Finally got around to checking your blog. Pretty cool. I think this is something I might like to do, but I don't think I would have the time to keep it updated.

Tell Titus he'll have pointless homework assignments for a long time yet...lol

just for fun, I just asked my almost 10 year old boy the same question. His answer...definitely the pumpkin- it's roomier, you could snack on it if you were hungry, and the seeds would make nice pillows :-) Obviously, I'm raising a sloth and glutton. You can tell what's important in the J house...and it isn't hygiene!

Jonathan-- Hey! Welcome to the blog! I'll pass on your sage words to Titus.

Lisa-- Laughing hard. I tried calling you. I was going to ask for the mother of the child who was content to live in Pumpkin meat. I guess you're out and about. We'll hook up eventually.

I am with you on the germ-a-phobe bit. I'm trying to lighten up a little. Maybe I should quiz my kids with the same question.
