The 4 Things Meme
I was tagged by Megan to do this meme. If you are wondering what a meme was, so was I. I think it looks like "Me! Me!" And it is... all about me. You can find the real definition here. 4 Jobs: *Youth Ministry Intern--Eastwood Baptist Church (Summers 1987, 1988) Tulsa, OK *Preschool Teacher--The Learning Key, (1989) Owasso, OK *Receptionist--Eastwood Baptist Church, (1990) Tulsa, OK; Sagamore Hills Baptist Church, (1991) Ft. Worth, TX *Owned and Operated "Mrs. Ray's Mother's Day Out" (2003 - 2005) 4 Movies I Could Watch Over and Over: *Pride and Prejudice (The A&E 6 hour version. I don't care if I ever view the Keira Knightly version again, it was *such* a let down.) Our family takes a week each January and watches the A&E version for a couple hours each night. *Sweet Home Alabama-- reminds me of Salem. :) *Anne of Green Gables *Mansfield Park 4 Websites I Visit Regularly: *msnbc.com (every morning) *intellicast.com *biblegateway.com *various blogs 4 Favorite Foods: *Chicken Chalupa Baja from Taco Bell *Crab Legs dipped in butter sauce *Lipton Sweet Ice Tea (I'm an addict...) *Pepperidge Farm Apricot Tarts 4 Places I Would Rather Be Right Now: *In Cher Hebert's living room in Camden, AR drinking coffee. *On a long drive in the country with my husband. *At a John Piper conference with my husband. *New England... WITH MY HUSBAND!!!! :) 4 Books I Could Read Over and Over: I very rarely read a book more than once. Here are a few: *The entire Mitford Series by Jan Karon *The Shaping of a Christian Family by Elisabeth Elliott *I read through the Bible every other year. (OT one year, NT the next) Ruth might be my favorite book. I just read it a couple of weeks ago and I've been meaning to blog about it.) But I probably read through the Psalms more than any other book, as I read through their entirety each month. I really love the Psalms. I guess I'll say the Psalms. *Rainbow Fish (for Jane) *Miss Fannie's Hat (for Anna) 4 Songs I Could Listen to Over and Over: This one was hard to stop at just 4. When I love a song, I put it on a favorite's CD and literally listen to it OVER AND OVER. (Right kids??) *Who's That Man? by Rich Mullins *I Make My Life a Prayer to You by Keith Green *Fast Cars and Freedom by Rascal Flatts *Landslide by Dixie Chicks *When You Say Nothing at All by Allison Krauss (Sorry, couldn't stop at just 4.) 4 Reasons Why I Keep a Blog: *I originally started it to keep in touch with my sister better. Last summer, we made a promise to each other that we were going to try harder to invest in our relationship, despite the distance. *Once I got started, I found out that it's a lot of fun, as well as a relaxing and enjoyable way to end the day. The best part has been keeping up with old friends like this and this and making new friends like this, this, and this. *I'm a joiner. *I keep thinking that if I would print it out, it would be a great thing for the kids to read in the years to come. 4 Places I’ve Lived: *Tulsa, OK (Actually grew up in suburb: Owasso) *Bolivar, MO (SBU) *Texas (Prosper, Ft. Worth, Powell) *Arkansas (Whoooooo PIG!! Souie!!) (Jonesboro, Salem, Hot Springs, Camden) 4 TV Shows I Love: *All Creatures Great and Small (I ADORE this show and am so grateful to Netflix for carrying it.) *24 (I'm addicted to this show but can never watch the current season since we don't subscribe to a cable network. Can't WAIT for Netflix to carry season 5.) *The Waltons (Again-- Netflix...) *American Idol (We try to watch this at a friend's house on Tuesday nights after a discipleship meeting.) 4 Places I’ve Vacationed: *Branson, MO (The last 2 summers-- free housing!!) *Virginia Beach, VA (1996) *Padre Island, TX (honeymoon) *Hawaii(Back when my parents footed the bill...) (1985) I'm tagging Ruth as a way for all of you to get to know her a little better. :)

I didn't know you had lived in Jonesboro. My wonderful roommate from college is from Steele, MO (just across the border in the bootheel) and they went to Jonesboro for everything. She had the true southern drawl that you don't hear "up north" too often. Hearing that southern inflection from you is something I enjoy because it reminds me of her. Don't think I have ever told you so though!
